Swedens oldest boarding school – Lundsbergs skola founded in 1896 – offers something completely unique in the field of education – a modern pedagogical approach, based on a more then 100-year-old tradition. Lundsbergs skola is very proud of the confidence, placed on the school by generations of parents over all these years. We are especially proud to be able to count several members of the Swedish Royal Family among the graduates of Lundsbergs skola.
Our teaching staff follows closely the newest pedagogical development, encouraging students to pursue knowledge in an independent and individual way. At the same time, considerable emphasis is put on the role of the well-educated teacher as the responsible mentor of the student. We offer our students study help by qualified teachers in the evenings – this is a great opportunity for the students to advance their study results. Lundsbergs skola is proud to be able to give the students this exclusive possibility as part of the ordinary school day.
The school has a department of trained teachers for students with special needs, dyslexia or other forms of learning difficulties. In a quiet and stimulating atmosphere, these students are offered qualified, individual tuition.
Lundsberg has a long history of instilling a traditional style of politeness and consideration into the minds of its young students. To be able to communicate and make friends in different social and cultural environments is a skill most appreciated in modern society, and the school is particularly proud to be able to convey this skill to the students.
At a boarding school like Lundsbergs skola, the extra curricular time is naturally an important part of school life. Traditionally sports activities play an important part in the forming of our students future life-style and the school offers a wide range of activities in that area. Cultural activities are becoming more and more interesting to our students and the school offers activities in music, art and theatre.
Life at a boarding school like Lundsberg adds a great number of new experiences to the life of a young person. It means a safe and harmonious environment in the very special close community that emerges from living and studying together. Life-long friendships are built in such an atmosphere.
Lundsbergs skola is situated in the most beautiful Swedish countryside – Värmland with its forests and glittering lakes, scene of the wonderful sagas of Nobel Laureate Selma Lagerlöf. Outside the school house green forests and blue lakes – inside the school a dynamic pedagogical atmosphere, complemented with the considerate care, offered by the professional staff of the students’ homes.

To me the very essence of education is symbolized in the
spirit of Lundsberg – this very special merge of style and
tradition, combined with a modern view on education and
the upbringing of young people.
I personally guarantee that all our students at Lundsberg
will get a first class education and a sound upbringing.
Furthermore, that Lundsbergs skola, with its well-
established traditions in the field of education, will
provide the appropriate academic and social skills for the
students to stand prepared for life outside school.
